A Guide to the Spanish Education SystemOur thanks to: The Red Cross of Jaen and the Junta of Andalucía, for this information. This guide has the purpose of facilitating information to students and their parents on the Spanish educational system, its importance and the necessary mechanisms to adapt to the new educational environment. The, Andalusián Education Council and the Spanish Red Cross from Jaen, seek to bring together the school system and the immigrant families by providing a dedicated service that will: 1. Monitor services at home and giving advice to families in regarding integration issues, 2. Monitor services at schools to solve and to prevent all type of problems in the integration of the children. 3. The involvement of immigrant parents in school activities will be another challenge we will be working towards. This will be the basic objectives set by the Red Cross In the present guide, we inform you of the structure of the Spanish educational system, the levels it embraces how to access school and the types of benefits and grants available. We also offer you information on foreign studies validation as well as student rights and obligations. We hope this guide proves useful.
